I have a 14 week old Miniature American Eskimo pup and sometimes when I need to pick her up, she will not come but will run away from me. Any tips on what I can do?
Generally speaking dog/pups don't like to be caught, especially for pups if a hand comes from above their heads.
You can practice "Come" command as many times as you can everyday and offer super value treats (such as string cheese, leftover meats, etc. but in tiny pieces) inside the house. Call her for no reasons and reward her for coming. Also, when she comes give her a warning saying "Gocha!" and grab her collar and treat her. Release her right away. Keep doing this so that she will get used to be caught. You can also pick her up every time she comes and put her down right away.
