Which is the right way to switch foods?

Hi all

Some of you may have helped me in another topic. As we make our way to what we hope will be a happy ending for our pups troubles we need to overcome this one.

She had intestinal issues from the day we got her from my son. He was feeding her Purina puppy chow and after looking at dogfoodanalisys website we see that that may not be the best to go with.
We had vet intervention for a couple weeks and after all the drugs and canned ID diet she never cleared.
I finally stopped the meds, kept the ID diet and she finally had normal movements.
I decided to go with Chicken Soup for pups as it is rated 5 star, said to have the least likelihood of allergic reactions in dogs and had fish and really has a fishy aroma. Since I read Huskies love fish I thought it would be a great choice. She loved it for sure. Acted as she was addicted to it.
I started to mix 1/4 cup dry CS with 3/4 of the ID can. Did this two meals and her movement became super soft almost a cow patty again.

My question should I stay with the program and continue to increase the dry mix or does the soft stool again tell me grains are a no go for her and start on a grain free diet?

I was not sure if when changing from the ID to dry food if that is normal to see a loose stool for a short period. I do not want to continue if it is wrong as she had real issues with intestinal upheaval and I do not want to have that happen again.

What should I do?

SPoke to Diamond Chicken Soup maker and talked to their vet. She said it would happen this way and for me to give her a few days with the same % of dry to canned. When she firms up increase the % of dry to canned.

she had a movement this PM and it was already firming up. I have a great feeling we are on our way to resolving this issue.

Maybe this will help others with the same problem. I still do not know what caused this whole thing to start with but getting it under control and using a good quality food is a great feeling.

Will post updates as we go.

Thanks
