I have a 3 months old japanese spitz who seems to be going downhill with her toilet training she started off knowing the right place and surface to pee on but now she just pees wherever she wants to - especially if she just woke up from a nap and looks her groggiest, she'll just pee on the spot and move on to a new area to sleep on any suggestions on how to stop this behaviour of just peeing wherever's convenient for her ? thanks so much in advance.
Where did you train her to pee initially? Did something "scary" happen in her usual pee spot sometime recently?
Try redo-ing her training, as you did the first time. If she continues to pee around the house, you should try to confine her to an acceptable area, or the area where you want her to go. You can incorporate pee pads into this, to save yourself cleaning up a mess everytime.
It might be beneficial to watch her like a hawk, and everytime you see her wake up, immediately pick her up or walk her to her bathroom area. If she starts to toilet in an unwanted area give a sharp "no" or sudden noise to startle her, and immediately get her to her bathroom area.
Startling her out of peeing in bad places is a good way for her to associate unacceptable toileting with a bad thing, so do your best to catch her if you can
