Could you please give me some history on your dog? How old is he and how long you have had him for?
The book has a great section on managing jumping and barking- please refer chapter 202 sections D and H. It is good that you are ignoring the behaviour. You could try using a water gun to squirt him every time he misbehaves. They usually learn pretty quick from it!
