Thought I'd share some pics of my girl with the forum

The first one with all the snow is our backyard...that little black thing on the pathway amongst the huge hills of snow - that's blue chewing on a bone...

Hi Blue,
I'll never complain about snow in the northwest again, your girl sure is a beauty, what a smile I love her smooth short coat and she sure does have the border collie markings, any idea what other breed she might be? I'm assuming she's not spoiled all?

She has the herding instinct of a border collie, but def. not the attention span.

We've had many guesses as to what her mix could be, but after experiencing her personality and behavioural traits, I'm pretty sure she's got some whippet/coursing breed in her because she absolutely lives to run,and I mean run.

I take her to dog parks and when she's off leash, she 'courses'. There's no other word for it! Full speed, faster then any dogs at the park, she runs circles around them, we've even had play with whippets and she seems to out run them too (mixed breed stamina like a pro!). When you see her standing also, she has the musculature of a whippet in her haunches and the tummy tuck behind a deep ribcage.

But you know it's all guesses! I've had all kinds of other comments from people too (other than total admiration and love for her cuteness!). Guesses as to her mix have been, but are not limited to breeds like: Boston Terrier, Jack Russell, Boxer mix, Pit Bull (usually from people who stand about 10 feet away and ask 'is she friendly'...ridiculous), Staffy, Lab, miniature pinscher mix, English Bull Terrier...

No matter what she is, she is well loved and has a beautiful personality, one of the most trust worthy dogs around people and other dogs I have ever owned! Still very much a pup, but every day she is growing into a more beautiful mature dog.

Oh, and not spoiled at all LOL!!

She only has TWO crates (trying to train out of separation anxiety...) I have a treat fanny pack just for her walks, she has a jacket for the cold Canadian winters (which she is still not used to after only one year coming from Louisiana...), she is fed only holistic human grade dog food and treats and she gets multiple walks/obedience sessions each day! Not spoiled at all... and I haven't even mentioned her chew toys, kongs and other toys... ha ha! Oh and she has her own little doggy back pack for hiking which she loves and gets excited when she sees because it means long walkies!!

BIG SIGH OH!! what we do for the love of our animals!!
Wouldn't trade her in for any purebred dog in the world!
Gotta love our heinz57, purebred mutt, mix breed wonder dog.

Hi blue,
I think your girl is very lucky indeed, your right, the things we do for our pets, of course Wyatt is not spoiled all:rolleyes:although I have to admit he does have his choice of his crate, a large soft bed or if he prefers to sleep outside a large insulated igloo,he has a life jacket & sunglasses not to mention his own berth on the boat , his own suitcase for traveling, (he packs his toys himself), plus a lge soft sheepskin rug for hotel stays, way to many toys to count, numerous collars and leashes in an array of lengths and colors,(also a couple of muzzles), playtime & training walks daily,a very large yard with trails cut through-out to give him variety yet remain on the property, since we started "training" he doesn't get "treats" very much, but he is well fed. But......... as I stated above my dog is not spoiled at all lol
Signing off
