This is our beautiful Joey as a baby and as she is today. She is now 1 and a half. It has been a long year with a new dog and my new baby too
She is really turning into the dog of our dreams. She runs next to my bike which I have a baby trailer on the back and this winter she is old enough to go Ski touring with my husband. There is always work to be done together....but it´s really starting to come good. We live in the Alps so she gets plenty of exercise and she is such a wonderful tough good girl.
I just wanted to to show her off a bit....thanks

Joey is very cute! And it sounds as though she gets lots of exercise and attention, which is great! I can imagine that caring for a young dog and a baby would make you a very busy person!

hi there eyeluvdogs!
Thanks for looking! Yeah, it was a long year full of smiles and sleepless nights! Toilet training a dog AND getting a baby to sleep was a challenge. Some days, I´d just get the baby to sleep and the dog would start barking or pooping etc etc I felt like I had twins! but in other ways it was good. I needed to walk alot with the baby, get out of the house, which is perfect for a dog and I always had a listening ear and a friendly face at the end of the day. Watching the baby and dog 'play' together was a nightmare until they both turned one and now I can at least watch them play pass the wooden blocks and not have a heart attack! It is very sweet them both trying to get the best place on the sheepskin, but I need to really watch when the dog has had enough and needs a break. She´ll yawn and lick her lips and then I need to help her to remember to go to her own place and relax...all in all a good and challenging year!

I used to think that I would wait until I got pregnant to get a puppy, but it didn't work out that way, and I must say that I am relieved! I was impatient and got the puppy first, and actually found it quite stressful initially, so I can imagine that having both a baby and a puppy would have been doubley so! I now have two dogs, one of which is particularly hyperactive and silly. He has a very sweet nature, but is likely to trample all over an innocent baby (he thinks he is being cute and cuddly, but unfortunately doesn't realize his own strength!) so baby plans are on hold until the dogs are a little older and more calm! Our older dog has matured and calmed down quite quickly, but I have read that the younger one may not settle down for another 2 years! He is a dalmatian, and I read once that 50% of people who get one will give them up for adoption within a year. We are determined not to do that because we love him, and because our other dog would never forgive us for separating her from her best buddy! Anyway, it sounds as though Joey and the baby are good company for one another. Best of luck

Your baby girl is precious and she looks really happy. I think she is very cute and is blessed to have a wonderful happy life. My name is Ana and I too have wonderful loving pets only many instead of just one. Our household is never dull to say the least as our hands are full with three Great Danes, one American Bull Dog, one Hairy Hairless Chinese Crested and a hot dog too by the name of Ziggy and let's not forget three Asian Leopard Bengal Cats. I've said a mouth full what do you think?

Anyways, congrats on such a wonderful pet and I wish you all the best.
